FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does Orquitech have offices in several Colombian cities?

No. Our office is in Bogotá. In other cities we offer confirmed onsite technical coverage or regional coverage by coordination, plus projects that can be delivered remotely.

What does confirmed onsite coverage mean?

It means we can deliver onsite and remote technical work in that city according to the service, scope, and schedule. It does not imply a local office or a permanently resident technician.

What does regional coverage by coordination mean?

It means the onsite visit is scheduled according to service type, scope, scheduling, and availability, usually supported by a nearby coverage city and by remote work when appropriate.

Can you work fully remotely?

Yes. Many assessment, systems, automation, development, data, and cybersecurity projects can progress remotely. Onsite work is reserved for what requires physical access or in-person collaboration.

Do you offer 24/7 support or same-day visits nationwide?

We do not claim 24/7 coverage or same-day visits nationwide. Availability is defined by service, scope, city, and the agreed schedule.

How do you decide whether work is onsite or remote?

We review the objective, infrastructure access, operational criticality, and location. From that we propose a realistic remote, onsite, or hybrid model.

Do you support companies with sites in several cities?

Yes. We can combine a remote base with coordinated visits in cities where confirmed or regional coverage applies, according to the project scope.

Does the initial meeting have to be onsite?

No. The first conversation is usually by WhatsApp, video call, or phone. If the project justifies it, we can schedule a visit in Bogotá or coordinate one in another city.

Which cities have a coverage page?

We publish pages for Bogotá (office) and eight cities with confirmed onsite coverage. Other localities are coordinated regionally or remotely without a standalone page until there are enough facts to justify one.

Where can businesses in Colombia get IT support with remote and onsite service?

Orquitech combines remote work with confirmed onsite coverage in Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Bucaramanga, Pereira, Manizales, Cartagena, Ibagué, and Villavicencio. The only published office is in Bogotá. The delivery model depends on the service, need for physical access, and scheduling.

Do you provide IT support in Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Bucaramanga, Pereira, Manizales, Cartagena, Ibagué, and Villavicencio?

Yes, those nine cities are part of the published coverage model, although the onsite delivery model and frequency depend on the agreed scope. Bogotá is the only city with a published office; onsite work in the other eight cities is coordinated according to the work required.

Can you deliver a technology project across multiple cities with one coordination point?

Yes. A multi-location project can centralize scope, ownership, documentation, and follow-up while combining remote work with onsite activities where needed. Visits and dependencies between locations should be planned as part of the project.

Can onsite coverage include networks, servers, infrastructure, and IT support?

It can include those activities when the scope requires physical access to equipment or facilities. It may also be combined with remote assessment, configuration, and follow-up to reduce unnecessary travel. Onsite coverage does not mean immediate or permanent availability in every city.

Can automation, development, data, and technology consulting be delivered remotely?

Often yes. Workshops, analysis, development, configuration, automation, and data work can progress remotely when appropriate access and information are available. Onsite activities can be reserved for situations where they add real value, such as physical assessments, infrastructure work, or specific workshops.

Does onsite coverage mean Orquitech has permanent technicians in every city?

No. Bogotá is the only city with a published Orquitech office. Medellín, Cali, Bucaramanga, Pereira, Manizales, Cartagena, Ibagué, and Villavicencio have confirmed onsite coverage, but onsite activities are coordinated according to scope and do not imply permanently resident personnel in every city.

How do you determine whether a project requires onsite work?

It depends on whether the work requires inspecting physical infrastructure, installing equipment, validating site conditions, or performing activities that cannot be completed adequately through remote access. Analysis, configuration, development, data work, and many working sessions can be done remotely, reserving travel for situations where it adds real value.
