FAQ

Common questions about services

Where do I start if I do not know which service I need?

Start with the problem, not the tool. On this page you will find common paths—manual processes, scattered data, stalled projects—each linked to the kind of help that usually solves it. If none fits perfectly, message us on WhatsApp with one sentence about what slows your operation and we will guide you without a purchase commitment.

Do I need to know which service to choose before contacting you?

No. The conversation can begin with the problem, the process that is not working, or the outcome you need to improve. Orquitech reviews the situation and combines the necessary capabilities before proposing a scope.

Do you work with companies outside Bogotá?

Yes, we serve companies across Colombia with remote work and targeted visits when the project requires them. Many assessments and automations progress well in a hybrid model. We define this in scope based on complexity, required access, and your team availability.

Can you combine several services in one project?

It is common to chain services: an assessment that prioritizes, then automation or an enterprise system, and a web portal exposing part of operations. Each phase is quoted and executed with clear deliverables. We prefer realistic sequences over a large vague bundle that mixes everything without priority.

How are different capabilities combined into one solution?

A project may combine assessment, automation, systems, data, infrastructure, security, and delivery practices according to the operating problem. You do not need to select a technical category before the initial conversation.

Do you offer ongoing support in addition to projects?

Yes, support and IT operations can be agreed separately when continuity is needed after a project. The services described here focus on initiatives with defined deliverables. If you need monthly accompaniment, we discuss it after understanding your baseline operation.

How do I request a quote?

The most useful path is WhatsApp with the concrete problem—for example, a manual process, unused CRM, or outdated site. You do not need a formal RFP for the first conversation. We ask brief questions, suggest the matching service, and if it fits, propose an initial scoped phase.

Do you always use Microsoft or other technologies too?

Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform are common when the company already has them, but they are not the only answer. We also work with modern web development, open integrations, and multi-cloud setups as needed. We choose stack based on your operation, not the other way around.

View more questions
What types of companies typically need technology modernization services?

Orquitech addresses needs commonly found in small and growing businesses: manual processes, disconnected systems, infrastructure that needs improvement, information that is difficult to analyze, or technology projects that need stronger direction. The starting point is not company size, but the operational problem, risk, and outcome that need to be addressed.

How much does a technology modernization project cost?

There is no single price because an assessment, automation initiative, infrastructure migration, and business system implementation can have very different scopes. Estimates depend on factors such as existing systems, users or locations, integrations, data, security, complexity, and the level of support required. The initial conversation helps define the problem before proposing a scope.

Can Orquitech act as an outsourced IT team?

Yes, when that model fits the need. Orquitech can complement an internal team, take ownership of a defined technology scope, or structure recurring support for specific functions. The model should clearly define responsibilities, access, priorities, support channels, and service boundaries rather than treating outsourced IT as an unlimited commitment.

Do you work with Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, Power BI, and other technologies?

Yes. Those platforms can be part of a solution when they fit the company's environment and objectives, but technology selection should not start with a brand. We can also work with existing infrastructure, systems, applications, and integrations to avoid unnecessary replacement and select an appropriate architecture for each situation.

Can a technology project start small and expand in phases?

Yes. In many situations it is better to isolate one process, integration, location, or user group first and establish clear success criteria. A well-defined first phase reduces uncertainty and provides evidence for deciding what should be expanded, adjusted, or stopped before committing to a larger transformation.

What is the difference between IT support, technology consulting, and software development?

IT support maintains the technology environment and resolves operational needs. Technology consulting analyzes problems, risks, priorities, and alternatives. Software development builds or modifies digital solutions. A single initiative may require all three disciplines, but each should have a clearly defined scope and outcome.

How should a small business choose a technology services company?

Start by evaluating whether the provider understands the problem before proposing a tool. The ability to work with existing infrastructure, document changes, coordinate multiple disciplines, and explain risks and decisions in business terms also matters. The right provider is not necessarily the one offering the most technologies, but the one capable of defining and delivering the scope the company actually needs.

What information is needed to estimate a technology project?

It normally requires understanding the problem, desired outcome, users or locations involved, existing systems, integrations, constraints, access requirements, and relevant dates. Complete documentation is not always required for the first conversation. Initial discovery is intended to identify what information is still needed before defining scope and an estimate.

Can one company handle infrastructure, automation, data, and IT support?

Yes, when the provider has genuine capability across those disciplines and each scope is clearly defined. A multidisciplinary provider can reduce dependencies when, for example, an automation project also requires identity, servers, integration, and support. That does not mean everything needs to be contracted as one project; responsibilities and deliverables should remain clearly separated.

Is it better to engage a technology project or a recurring service?

It depends on the nature of the need. A migration, implementation, or automation initiative normally has a defined outcome and scope, while support and administration may require ongoing service. Some companies need both models: first a project to correct or modernize the environment, followed by recurring support to maintain it.
